Soda Production in the US - Industry Market Research Report
Soda Production in the US
Soda producers manufacture traditional carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks and various other carbonated flavored beverages. Through the end of 2023, dropping per capita soft drink consumption has expansively impacted soda producer performance. Demand for both regular and diet carbonated soft drinks has dropped as more consumer continue to prioritize choosing healthier beverages, due in large part to media coverage on the adverse impacts of sugary beverages. While robust growth of energy drinks has benefited soda producers, it has not been enough to keep revenue expanding. Soda producer revenue will drop at a CAGR of 1.1% to $42.4 billion through the end of 2023, including a 0.9% contraction in 2023 alone. Soda producers kept their course amid the worst of COVID-19, as losses from restaurants and events were mitigated by boosted sales for at-home consumption.
Soda producers manufacture soft drinks by blending various ingredients with artificially carbonated water. This industry also includes energy beverages. Producers of bottled water, juices and ready-to-drink teas and coffees are excluded.
