Industry-wide revenue is expected to expand at an average annualised 8.4% over the past five years, to total $2.8 billion in 2023-24. This trend includes anticipated growth of 9.0% in the current year, with an increase in demand from food product manufacturing and a rise in health consciousness boosting overall domestic demand for organic food.
Industry farms primarily produce organic fruits, vegetables, grains, other crops or livestock. Organic farming is free of synthetic chemicals, pesticides, fertilisers, or genetically modified organisms.
