Archroma has developed a black dye and a navy dye which are free from metals and halogens for use in the coloration of polyamide fabrics and blended polyamide fabrics for sportswear and outdoor apparel
DYEING TECHNOLOGIES
NTX has developed a waterless dyeing technology which will be adopted by adidas
FABRICS
Cordura has developed an environmentally sustainable fabric called re/cor RN66 which is made using nylon 6.6 fibres derived from pre-consumer waste materials
Lenzing Group (Lenzing) has developed an environmentally sustainable fabric collection for use in outdoor apparel applications
FIBRES
Surfwear brand Piping Hot and researchers at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) will collaborate in the development of a fibre made using materials derived from seaweed
Toray Industries (Toray) has developed a plant-based fibre called Ecodear N510
FINISHES
Bolger & O’Hearn has developed a dual action durable water repellent (DWR) finish which is capable of repelling and releasing stains
FOOTWEAR
Coats has developed a fibre laying technology called Lattice Lite Eco for use in the manufacture of high performance footwear
Covestro, Cyclone and Huafeng have collaborated in the development of an environmentally sustainable fabric for use in the manufacture of sports shoes
TREATMENTS
Sanitized has developed an odour control treatment which is free from biocides
Sciessent has developed an anti-odour treatment which is free from antimicrobial agents and biocides

Hanes has developed men’s briefs which are designed to regulate the wearer’s body temperature
