Table 4.7 examines the challenges or limitations of ChatGPT usage based on the number of courses taught in the last semester. Respondents who did not teach any
courses or taught more than two courses had higher percentages of \""No Answer.\"" Among respondents who did not teach any courses, 61.90% did not provide an answer, while respondents who taught two courses had a high level of concern about accuracy and reliability.
In Table 4.8 the data is broken out by approximate ranking of the law school of the survey participant. Once again, “no answer” responses were much higher from t
he top-20 law school cohort, and use level tended to rise as law school rankings fell.
Evaluation of the Current and Future Impact of ChatGPT
This study looks carefully at which law school faculty and using ChatGPT in their work, and what they are using it for. The study helps its readers to answer questions such as: How are law school faculty benefiting from the use of ChatGPT? What are their reservations about its use? What advice do they offer to their peers? How do they expect it to impact law school operations and legal scholarship and teaching? What has been the impact to date?
