The private label retail credit card market is dominated by six bank issuers: Alliance Data Systems; Capital One; Citi Retail Services, a division of Citibank; Synchrony Financial; TD Bank; and Wells Fargo.

Private label credit card purchase value grew at an average annual rate of almost 3% from 2016 to 2018, lead by Synchrony Financial and Citi Retail Services. Private label credit card loan receivables were up 6% annually from 2016 to 2018. Packaged Facts forecasts both private label credit card purchase value and private label credit card loan receivables will grow through 2021.
