Lebanon faces a war that might be broader in scope than the one between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006. After killing Hassan Nasrallah, the longtime leader of Hezbollah, in an attack on Beirut over the weekend, Israel looks poised to launch ground raids into Lebanon. This follows weeks of deadly Israeli assaults and a year of border clashes. Beyond the human losses and mass displacement, the wave of attacks is another blow to the Lebanese economy as output declines extend for the seventh year in a row.
