Description

We nudged down our growth forecast for Spain to 2.4% to account for the impact of higher energy costs in the wake of the attacks on Iran. Nevertheless, Spain will be the fastest-growing major economy in the Eurozone again this year. The economy still benefits from strong growth in services and employment, lower electricity costs for industrial users, and being more insulated from global trade tensions than most of its peers. We expect GDP growth of 2.1% in 2027.
