Macro - Country Economic Forecasts - Ireland
Description
We forecast Irish GDP will contract by 0.6% in 2026, after projected growth of 13.3% in 2025. GDP has held up well in recent quarters, including in Q3 2025, following a surge around the start of the year. Our forecast anticipates only a modest decline in the coming quarters, although this will still result in a negative carry-over effect into 2026, which largely explains this year's GDP contraction. We anticipate GDP growth of 1.9% in 2027.
