Description

We left our GDP growth forecast for France unchanged at 0.9% in 2026. The near-term outlook is weaker than before due to the inflationary shock stemming from the US/Israel war on Iran, but this was offset by upward revisions to previous quarters in the latest GDP release. Weaker momentum will translate into lower growth in 2027 too, when we expect the economy to grow by 1%, a 0.1ppt downward revision.
