On the other hand, in Prince Edward Island, an employer may ask for a deposit of up to 25.0% of the cost of the uniform, however, must return the deposit when employment is terminated, and the employee returns the uniform.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the food service industry witnessed a fall of 28.7%, and sales registered a modest rebound of 11.8% in 2021.
