Bridgestone EMIA (Bridgestone), a global leader in tires and rubber providing solutions for safe and sustainable mobility, is joining forces with EVBox Group, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, and TSG, the European leader for technical services for mobility solutions, to install 3,500 charging ports across Bridgestone’s European retail and service network in the next five years.

AMSTERDAM — Bridgestone and EVBox Group are announcing a long-term partnership to expand Europe’s EV charging infrastructure with the installation of up to 3,500 new EVBox AC and DC charging ports, powered by EVBox charging management software. The installations will take place across Bridgestone’s European retail and service network, including leading brands like Speedy and First Stop.

The five-year project, which is the latest example of Bridgestone’s support for the adoption of sustainable mobility, will begin in France and Italy before expanding into the UK, Germany, Poland, Spain, and other European countries.

Thanks to the partnership between Bridgestone and EVBox Group, EV drivers and fleets will get access to one of Europe’s largest charging networks through a single solution: a dedicated card or mobile app connected to EVBox charging management software. The charging network will include access to over 130,000 public charging ports and growing. With EVBox charging management software, drivers and account holders can efficiently manage charging sessions, payments, and invoicing through one centralized platform.

Favorable policies and initiatives

Favorable policies and initiatives focused on promoting EV adoption will boost industry growth. Many governments and regulatory agencies have implemented policies, incentives and regulations to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles and the development of charging infrastructure. This includes subsidies, tax incentives, emission reduction targets, and mandates for electric vehicle charging stations, all of which create a conducive environment for the EV Charging Software industry.

Cost consideration

Cost considerations are an important factor affecting the development of the EV Charging Software market. For example, implementing EV Charging Software may incur significant expenses, including development costs and maintenance costs. The cost of developing EV Charging Software is affected by a variety of factors, including the development rate per hour, the technology used, the features included in the software, and the size of the team. It is difficult to give an accurate cost estimate for the development of EV Charging Software. In addition to development costs there are also maintenance costs, which can vary widely depending on factors such as system complexity, functionality and deployment size. It typically includes the cost of updates, bug fixes, server maintenance, and customer support. The cost of EV Charging Software is relatively high, and cost considerations are a challenge facing the EV Charging Software market.
