Global Bromine Disinfectant Market Research Report 2023-Competitive Analysis, Status and Outlook by Type, Downstream Industry, and Geography, Forecast to 2029

1-Bromo-3-chloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (BCDMH) is a chemical structurally related to hydantoin. It is a white crystalline compound with a slight bromine and acetone odor and is insoluble in water, but soluble in acetone.

BCDMH is an excellent source of both chlorine and bromine as it reacts slowly with water releasing hypochlorous acid and hypobromous acid. It used as a chemical disinfectant used for recreational water and drinking water purification.

Market Overview:

The latest research study on the global Bromine Disinfectant market finds that the global Bromine Disinfectant market reached a value of USD 89.41 million in 2022. It’s expected that the market will achieve USD 108.55 million by 2028, exhibiting a CAGR of 3.29% during the forecast period.

Emerging Countries of Bromine Disinfectant

With the development of economy and technology, the increase environmental protection awareness, high requirement of water quality, they are searching for more high performance disinfectant, and
continuously expand the BCDMH applications, including industrial circulating cooling water system,
swimming pool, aquaculture, fountain water purification, food processing and such disinfection industries, to expand the market size.

Growing Market of Bromine Disinfectant

The developed market have proprietary patented technology, leading scientific experts, a highly competent management team, good environmental awareness, high environmental standards, much higher product requirement, high living standards, more swimming pools, all of which make a growing market demand for the BCDMH industry.

Limitations

(1) Regulations in some regions
Government regulations have a major impact on the biocides used in recreational water. In most developed countries, all the chemical components of a biocide must be listed on the relevant national “inventory” of chemical substances before it can be supplied.
(2) Alternative products Driven by new technology, a variety of devices have been developed to provide alternative disinfection. Among these are copper/silver ionisers, ozonators ‘nascent’ oxygen units, wet catalyst systems and salt water chlorinators. None of these devices by themselves present a major threat to existing biocide market dominance; collectively they take small bits of market share from the leading biocides. Importantly, these devices are being installed on many new pools and threaten to absorb an even greater percentage of the growth in this industry. All of these devices tend to be low maintenance and high initial investment types of technology.

Opportunities

(1) With the development of technology, the innovation of product, the progress of internet, the improvement of market channel, the BCDMH industry will see a growth trend in the next few years,
(2) Emerging market will be a great potential market in the future. People there are paying more attention to the life standards, more leisure life, more swimming pool, much higher standards of water, so, it will promote the industry development.
