Argentina, a century ago, was one of the world's wealthiest countries as an exporter of primary goods. However, the industrialization model it adopted in the 1930's and the resulting political alignments led to social conflicts which were nevel resolved and Governments which resorted to printing money rather than controlling deficits resulting in chronic inflation. President Milei is the latest to attempt to change this paradigm and this study looks at the issues which confront him and the progress achieved to date.
