The global Wet Electrostatic Precipitator System market size is predicted to grow from US$ million in 2025 to US$ million in 2031; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of %from 2025 to 2031.
Wet Electrostatic Precipitator System, which work on the same principle as tubular and multistage ESPs, collect particles in a cell by electrically attracting them in the ionization section (consisting of plates and wires) and drawing them electrically to grounded parallel plates in the collection section. In the wet ESP tube design, the parallel plates containing the collection section have been replaced by an "egg crate" grid of electrically grounded rectangular tubes. Each of these rectangular tubes is equipped with a solid electrode that extends along the length of the tube, parallel to the grounding wall, and has an overlapping longitudinal centerline. Ultimately, the Beltran wet ESP electrodes impart a similar negative charge on the particles as they begin to move through the tubes. The repulsive force of the interaction between the electrodes and the particles (due to similar charges) and the attractive force between the particles and the ground wall (which has an "opposite charge" in the case of the particles) cause the particles to drift towards the tube wall where collection occurs. This "push-pull" effect is the reason for the high collection efficiency and the low power requirements of electrostatic precipitators.
