Total Heat Exchanger refers to equipment (including ERV/HRV) that can recover and exchange heat between indoor and outdoor air.

Wall-mounted total heat exchangers are usually equipped with special mounting brackets or hangers that can be fixed directly to the load-bearing wall. There are two independent air channels inside the wall-mounted total heat exchanger, which are used to introduce outdoor fresh air and exhaust indoor exhaust air respectively. Fresh air and exhaust air flow in their respective channels and exchange heat and moisture through the full heat exchange core. The airflow on both sides of the core is isolated and will not mix directly, but heat and humidity can be transferred through the special material of the core.

Wall-mounted total heat exchangers are suitable for use in decorated scenes, such as residences, offices, hotels, schools, etc. It can be easily installed in a bedroom or children's room. You only need to open a ventilation hole in the outer wall and the machine can be hung directly on the wall. The main disadvantages are: small air volume, for residential buildings, the budget for a whole house is higher than that of a ceiling-mounted full heat exchanger, and there is noise.
