A vibrating gas densitometer is an instrument that uses the principle of mechanical vibration to measure gas density. The working principle of a vibrating gas densitometer is based on the principle of vibration. Inside the instrument, there is a vibrating tube made of magnetic material. When a pulse excitation current is passed through the coil, the vibrating tube vibrates due to the magnetic force of the coil. Since the vibration frequency of the vibrating tube is related to the mass (i.e. density) of the gas inside it, the density of the gas can be inferred by detecting the change in the vibration frequency.
