The triethylamine cold core box process, that is, the phenolic urethane process, is currently the most widely used cold core box core making process. The core making process is to add quantitative raw sand according to the process ratio. The two-component binder of component Ⅰ phenolic resin and component Ⅱ polyisocyanate is mixed evenly in a sand mixer to obtain cold core sand, which is compacted into the core box using a core shooting machine, and then with the help of a gas generator. Dry compressed air or nitrogen is used as a carrier to blow a certain amount of atomized or vaporized triethylamine catalyst into the core box through the air blowing plate, catalyzing the hydroxyl and isocyanic acid in the two-component binder into urethane. After hardening, the carrier gas is used to clean out the residual triethylamine in the core sand to obtain a sand core with a certain strength and meeting the process requirements.
