A thermal liquid mass flow meter is a sensor or instrument used to measure the mass flow of liquids. It is based on the principle of thermal sensing and determines the mass flow rate of a fluid by measuring the heat absorbed by the fluid as it flows through the sensor. Thermal liquid mass flow meters usually consist of two thermistors or thermocouples, one of which acts as the heat source and the other acts as the temperature measuring element. The heat source heats the liquid, while the temperature measuring element measures the change in temperature of the liquid as it passes through.
