Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a method of depositing substances layer by layer on a substrate surface in the form of a single atomic film. Atomic layer deposition has similarities with ordinary chemical deposition. In 2020, the global ALD equipment market accounted for approximately 11% of the overall market for thin film deposition equipment. From the perspective of equipment investment composition in wafer fabs, the investment in thin film deposition equipment accounts for approximately 25% of the total investment in wafer manufacturing equipment. With the accelerated construction and expansion of global and domestic wafer fabs, as well as the evolution of semiconductor device structures towards finer details, the ALD equipment market has vast potential.
