Non-common optical path dual-frequency laser interferometer is an instrument that uses laser as a light source, through a non-common optical path (that is, two beams of light propagate along different paths), combined with the principle of dual-frequency laser interference to measure physical quantities such as displacement, deformation, and vibration of an object. After the beam is expanded and collimated, the beam emitted from the laser is divided into two paths by optical elements such as a beam splitter. The two beams propagate along different paths to form a non-common optical path. Dual-frequency laser technology refers to the laser generating two laser beams with slightly different frequencies (such as f1 and f2). When the two beams of light are reflected by a fixed reflector and a movable reflector respectively, they will reunite and interfere. Due to the different frequencies of the two beams of light, the interference signal will appear as an AC signal, and its frequency is related to the frequency difference between the two beams of light and the displacement of the movable reflector. The interference signal is converted into an electrical signal by a photoelectric conversion element, and amplified and shaped by an electronic circuit. Finally, by calculating the frequency change or phase change of the interference signal, the displacement of the movable reflector can be accurately measured.
