Neodymium-doped double-clad fiber is a special fiber structure used in optical devices such as lasers and fiber amplifiers. It has a two-layer cladding structure, the central region of which is doped with neodymium plasma. The basic structure of Nd-doped double-clad fiber includes core, inner cladding and outer cladding. The core is a photoconductive region doped with neodymium ions, the active medium in the fiber that absorbs the energy of incident light and emits laser photons.
