The EGR pressure sensor is a sensor used to monitor pressure changes in the exhaust gas recirculation system. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems control and reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by reintroducing a portion of the exhaust gases in the engine exhaust. The function of the EGR pressure sensor is to monitor the pressure in the exhaust gas recirculation system to help the engine control system achieve a reasonable exhaust gas recirculation rate.

The EGR pressure sensor is usually installed on the exhaust gas recirculation line and is used to detect pressure changes inside the exhaust gas recirculation system. When the engine is running, the EGR valve opens and introduces a certain proportion of exhaust gas into the cylinder, thereby lowering the temperature of the combustion chamber and reducing the generation of NOx. The EGR pressure sensor can monitor the pressure of these exhaust gases and feed back relevant information to the engine control unit (ECU). The ECU can adjust the opening and closing of the EGR valve based on the sensor signal to achieve the required exhaust gas recirculation rate.

By monitoring the pressure changes inside the exhaust gas recirculation system in real time, the EGR pressure sensor helps ensure the normal operation of the exhaust gas recirculation system, improve the combustion efficiency of the engine, and reduce emission levels of emissions. This plays an important role in meeting emission standards and improving engine performance and fuel economy.
