Market players need to invest in research and development, forge strategic partnerships, and align their offerings with evolving consumer preferences to capitalize on the immense opportunities presented by the Dry Diaphragm market.

The dry method is also known as the melt stretching method. Its principle is that the dry method mixes raw materials such as high molecular polymers and additives to form a uniform melt extrusion. Under the tensile stress, a lamellar structure is formed. The elastic polymer film is then stretched again at a certain temperature to form micropores, and the microporous film is obtained after heat setting. The dry process can be divided into dry uniaxial stretching and biaxial stretching according to different stretching directions. In the dry uniaxial stretching process, the separator is first stretched at a low temperature to form defects such as silver streaks, and then the defects are pulled apart at a high temperature to form micropores. The diaphragm produced by the process has a flat and long microporous structure, and the process diaphragm has better pore-forming effect and high ionic conductivity, and can produce single-layer and multi-layer diaphragms. The dry biaxial stretching process is similar to the dry uniaxial stretching process, in that it is necessary to heat the polyolefin resin to a molten state, and then extrude it to obtain highly oriented hard elastomer platelets with low crystallinity. The difference is that the dry biaxial stretching adopts the principle of crystal form conversion. A crystal form modifier with nucleation is added to polypropylene, and the crystal form occurs during the stretching process by using the difference in density between different phases of polypropylene. The transformation forms micropores for the production of monolayer separators. The strength of the dry biaxial stretching process in the transverse direction has been improved, but the pore formation is uneven and the stability is poor, and only a single-layer diaphragm can be produced.
