Diacetate yarn is a yarn made of diacetate fiber. Diacetate yarn is made from triacetate cellulose (esterification degree of 230-250, soluble in acetone) as raw material, and is obtained by spinning diacetate cellulose obtained by partial saponification. The wood pulp is made from trees grown for many years, and after removing impurities, it is treated with acetic anhydride to form cellulose ester. Subsequently, acetate filaments of cellulose fibers, namely diacetate yarns, are formed through processes such as dissolution, degassing, spinning, coagulation, drawing, and winding. Diacetate yarns have good hygroscopicity and a high moisture regain (at a relative temperature of 65%, the moisture regain of diacetate is 6.5%). At the same time, its dyeing performance is better than that of triacetate, and it can generally be dyed at a temperature of 85~100℃. The chemical properties of diacetate yarns are stable and resistant to sunlight, but their strength and wear resistance are relatively poor. Diacetate yarns resemble real silk, with a soft feel, bright colors, and beautiful appearance. The filaments have an elegant luster and good drape.
