Magnesia-chrome bricks are made from high purity magnesia and chrome. The bricks perform well at high temperatures and have good thermal stability. Magnesite chrome brick comprise of magnesium oxide (MgO) and chromium oxide (Cr2O3) as the main ingredient, periclase and spinel as main mineral components of refractory products. Magnesite-chrome brick is manufactured with raw materials of magnesite clinker and chromite, in which purity of magnesia raw material must be high as possible.
The load softening temperature of zirconium corundum bricks is usually above 1550°C, which means that it can still maintain high strength and stability at high temperatures. In high temperature environment, the volume stability of zirconium corundum brick is good, and it is not easy to expand or shrink, which ensures its long-term stable use under high temperature conditions. The main raw materials of zirconium corundum bricks are high-quality sintered magnesia and chromite, and the ratio of magnesia and chromite plays an important role in the preparation process. The production process of firing zirconium corundum bricks is similar to that of general magnesia bricks, and pre-synthesized magnesia-chrome sand can be used to prepare bricks. High-quality zirconium corundum bricks can be made of synthetic co-fired materials to eliminate the loosening effect caused by oxide reactions during the firing process, and improve their high-temperature strength and slag resistance. Zirconium corundum bricks are widely used in various high-temperature industrial kiln linings and refractory materials.
