Cesium iodide scintillator crystal is an inorganic scintillation crystal with cesium iodide as the matrix material. According to the different activators added, it can be divided into two types: thallium activation and sodium activation, respectively CsI (Tl), CsI (Na), and none. The activator is pure cesium iodide scintillator (CsI), all three of which are colorless and transparent cubic crystals. It is characterized by high density, high average atomic number, high detection efficiency for gamma rays and X-rays, no cleavage, good processing performance, and can be made into detectors of various shapes.
