It is a radar that uses laser as light source, photodetector as receiving device, and optical telescope as antenna. The working principle of LiDAR for monitoring the ambient atmosphere is: the laser emits laser pulses, which react with aerosols and various components in the atmosphere to generate backscattered signals.
