It is also used to determine compactibility of sands by using special specimen tubes and a linear scale. Backfill tampers are available in bench and floor models. The bench models deliver fast, powerful blows for ramming small, medium and large forms. The floor models deliver maximum power with slow, powerful blows that efficiently and quickly compact all types of backfill. Each model is ergonomically designed providing greater ease of handling with reduced operator fatigue.
