Trend removal, background subtraction, and noise reduction are all examples of signal processing software. In some cases, impedance analyzers are employed to improve quantitative eddy-current measurements. Multidimensional scanning capabilities are employed in some laboratories to create images of the scan zones. There are a few transportable scanning devices available for specific uses, such as scanning fuselage sections.
