This IDC study compiles data from several other IDC cloud-related forecasts and trackers and uses definitions consistent with those other forecasts to provide a perspective on both the total portion of major IT sectors that are influenced by cloud in all its forms and the breakdown of spending on cloud-based services (as a service), the managed and professional services needed to deploy and govern cloud resources (services), and the hardware, software, and support services required to build and maintain cloud environments (cloud supply chain).
