Tablet demand was severely curtailed in 2023, says Linn Huang, research vice president, Devices and Displays, IDC. "The weak economy really suppressed consumer spending for tech. Commercial projects continued to stall out. Devices in general had a rough year, but no category took it rougher than tablets."
