Telcos in Europe: Strategy and Development Toward 2030

This IDC Market Perspective examines how telcos have reached the situation that they are in today, what their current circumstances look like, and the directions in which their circumstances might develop during the decade of the 2020s. Three aspects of the telcos' business are examined: their core market for telephony and connectivity services, the development of their network infrastructure, and the evolution of their corporate strategies."Connectivity has never been more valued than it is today, because of its pivotal role in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. But paradoxically, telcos that provide that connectivity are finding it increasingly difficult to grow their revenues from doing so," said John Delaney, IDC associate.
