This IDC Market Perspective examines employee retention dynamics in Europe based on a large, European IDC survey of 2,785 employees from March 2022. The objective of this study is to provide human capital management software vendors and European employers with a facts-based analysis on retention and employee experience."European organizations are under severe pressure as employees have new requirements related to compensation, working conditions, flexible work, and career development. When these demands are not met, they actively look for employment opportunities elsewhere. The good news is that European employers and providers of HCM applications in Europe can actively mitigate a significant proportion of retention risk," said Bo Lykkegaard, AVP of Software Research in IDC Europe.
