Ricoh Continues to Build its Digital Services Business: European Perspective

This IDC Market Perspective provides an overview of Ricoh's performance reflected in its FY23 results for the 12 months ending March 31, 2024, highlighting Ricoh's European business. It also discusses the European impact of Ricoh's ongoing global enterprise value improvement plan."Compared with other print market players reviewing their businesses and introducing adjacent services, Ricoh is ahead of the game. However, its operational optimization and profitability review plans highlight that achieving business efficiency is a continuous process for all market players," said Jacqui Hendriks, associate research director, European Print Vendor Transformation Strategies. "In Europe, Ricoh has made great strides in cross-selling and upselling its broad services portfolio to existing customers, but it needs to constantly review and balance the benefits of running acquired companies as separate business entities with the associated cost of sales and delivery, in addition to consequent profits."
