Pure Storage Says "Disk Is Done," But Is It?
This IDC Market Note highlights some announcements by Pure Storage at its annual user conference Pure//Accelerate on June 13 to 15, 2023, at Resorts World Las Vegas. During the event, the company announced the expansion of its newest Pure//E family with FlashArray//E, an all-flash solution aimed at hybrid flash competitors, and introduced a new generation of its FlashArray//X and FlashArray//C systems, boasting 40% more performance. It also shared a new service being launched that includes a ransomware SLA guarantee. To address the needs of several companies around the world, it has also announced Evergreen Flex, a consumption model that enables customers to take ownership of the storage asset. Pure Storage is a contender in the storage space in the U.S. but does not have a lot of traction in EMEA; it is looking to change that, investing more in this region.
