This IDC Perspective explores data from IDC's September 2021 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 10, that shows a relationship between organizational models and the successful delivery of innovative digital products and services. "Successful digital innovation isn't built on technology alone," said Nancy Gohring, research director for IDC's Future of Digital Innovation Agenda program. "IDC research indicates that successful digital innovators are more likely to have certain roles in place, including chief digital officers and automation engineers, and have a direct line to the CEO, as compared with their counterparts who struggle to deliver innovative digital products and services."
