Kingswood Capital Acquires Kodak Alaris
This IDC Market Note examines the acquisition of Kodak Alaris by Kingswood Capital. The acquisition was a simple ownership change, with little expected impact on the customers or partners of Kodak Alaris. With new private equity ownership comes the possibility of additional investment and more aggressive marketing and development tactics within the vendor's areas of strength, as well as the possibility of new ownership expanding into new, adjacent markets. However, this appears to have primarily been an acquisition of opportunity by a capital management firm with experience in managing businesses of Kodak Alaris' size and type.
