This IDC research report analyzes vendor shares in the domestic WAN services market in 2023. Looking at the overall market for WAN services, excluding legacy leased lines, sales in 2023 were projected to be positive compared with the previous year. Looking at the sales figures by operator, the top 3 were NTT Communications, KDDI, and SoftBank, with each company maintaining the same market share as the previous year. Looking at WAN service type, L2 bandwidth guaranteed and L3 bandwidth guaranteed still account for the majority of the total sales, but the number of lines and sales in both segments remained flat from the previous year, indicating market maturity.
