Japan DevOps Software Forecast, 2025–2029

This IDC study summarizes the Japan development operations (DevOps) software market's performance in 2024, and market forecast for 2025–2029 based on information collected through interviews and surveys conducted up to the end of January 2025.In 2024, many companies budgeted for projects aimed at using generative AI (GenAI) in their business and will be moving through proof of concept (POC) to a full-scale utilization phase. However, there is a significant percentage of Japan companies in which the construction and implementation of AI applications have only progressed to the POC or trial operation stage and have not yet progressed to the production phase. Many companies cite two factors that hinder the success of their AI projects: quality and improper data labeling of the required data sets, and inadequate technology and service partners. "IT suppliers should properly understand the business goals that customers want to achieve through the use of AI and use those goals as a starting point to help them build AI applications.
