IDC's Worldwide Future Enterprise Use Case Taxonomy, 2022: Future of Work
This IDC study provides IDC's future of work use cases as it seeks to support business strategy and success. This taxonomy is organized into eight strategic priorities that serve to define how IT organizations around the globe should structure their work transformation efforts over the next three to five years. This study also provides a guide to the IT organization's work transformation journey as it aligns itself with the needs of the business during an especially turbulent time such that individual projects and use cases can align with an enterprise's long-term objectives."As IT aligns ever more closely across the enterprise, integrating operations, facilities management and HR, key technologies will serve to transform how businesses engage employees. Technology adoption will affect work transformation across the traditional employee life cycle, and it will automate and augment daily work across the boundaries of digital workspaces and reimagined workplaces," says Amy Loomis, research director, Future of Work at IDC. "This study enables business and IT leadership to assess and imagine the core elements of work transformation needed to drive business resilience for the future enterprise."
