This IDC Perspective describes how Hitachi Vantara empowers enterprises with major new hybrid multi public cloud support. In February 2022, Hitachi Vantara made a wide-ranging set of announcements that moved its hybrid multi public cloud strategy and capabilities forward for enterprise customers. Hitachi Application Reliability Centers provide a comprehensive set of proven, managed services to help customers quickly deploy cloud-native applications running on Hitachi software-defined storage infrastructure, while core digital infrastructure enhancements included a software-defined version of the vendor's enterprise-class Storage Virtualization Operating System (SVOS RF), a new higher-end midrange system (the E1090), and "cloud in a box" solutions based around hyperconverged infrastructure for easier, more rapid deployment of cloud-native applications on premises. Together, these announcements give the vendor a competitive hybrid multi public cloud strategy — something that digitally transforming enterprises need to successfully transition to the digital age."Hybrid multi public cloud is the way that IT infrastructure will be built going forward," said Eric Burgener, research vice president, Infrastructure Systems, Platforms and Technologies Group, IDC.
