Organizations are quickly transitioning to a hybrid working model, which means a large percentage of knowledge workers will work not in just one office but instead split time among on-campus, at-home, and other remote locations. "The ongoing transition to a hybrid working model is forcing businesses to reprioritize strategic IT investments," says Robert Palmer, research VP for IDC's Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions group. "Organizations will increasingly look toward cloud-based technologies to enable a more seamless, consistent, and productive printing experience while simultaneously addressing issues crucial to the effective delivery of a remote services model.
