EMEA network operators are investing in their OSS/BSS estates to become 'match fit' as they progress their service strategies beyond pure connectivity. Their investments now and in the next few years are intended to reduce their dependence on large legacy IT estates and build the foundations for monetizing their network assets as a partner-driven platform. Many investments, both customer and non-customer facing, are targeted at improving customer experience outcomes, said Chris Silberberg, research manager, IDC's EMEA Telecoms Insight.
