The Convergence of HPC and AI: What does it mean for IT Buyers?
The market for converged AI and HPC deployments is rapidly expanding. It makes sense to combine these two using the previously discussed methods to solve more complex problems more quickly and in a cost-efficient manner. Vendors are aware of this opportunity and are working to improve the infrastructure available for combining these two workloads. Although the infrastructure for combining AI and HPC still has ways to go in terms of maturity, IDC believes that in a few years this will become the norm than the exception, especially in enterprises.
