BrightPlan's 2023 Wellness Barometer Survey Findings Add to IDC's Value Basis for Financial Well-Being

This IDC Market Note shares an overview of BrightPlan — a provider of end-to-end, technology-enabled employee financial well-being services and resources — that released the results of its annual Wellness Barometer Survey at the end of H123. Within the survey, BrightPlan evaluates the state of employee financial well-being and stress with respect to aspects that impact the overall well-being, such as the state of personal financial planning, confidence in financial literacy, benefits status, and employer trust. Echoed within IDC's native data, BrightPlan continues to see stress about finances and financial health rise and impact employee decisions about work, life, and how they interact. The Wellness Barometer Survey pushes the boundaries on stress indicators to further quantify what financial stress means for organizations and at least the U.S. domestic workforce. Overall, the cost of stress continues to rise as — again echoed within IDC's findings — stress contributes to productivity loss owing to the dual priority nature of how employees most often balance and internalize it alongside work commitments.
