Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) DC Deployment Model and Spend Forecast, 2H22: 2022–2027
This IDC study estimates and forecasts DC market growth in Asia/Pacific by looking at power capacity (megawatt), total area (millions of square feet), and number of racks. These three factors indicate how much DC supply is being demanded in the market, with respect to allocation of resources and footprint allocated to house digital infrastructure and workloads. This Market Forecast also covers both enterprise and SP DCs in the region. "Growth from enterprise DCs (eDCs) will soon peak as the composition of enterprise and SP DCs in the region balances out. The footprint of eDCs will decline after 2027 as more enterprise workloads migrate to the cloud or SP DCs," says Mikhail Jaura, market analyst on DCs and cloud services, IDC Asia/Pacific.
