Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan and China) Software-Defined WAN Infrastructure Market, 2020–2021, and 2022–2026 Forecast

SD-WAN adoption in the region continues to be driven by a combination of the migration of applications and data to the cloud, introduction of cloud-native architecture and technologies, proliferation of fiber-optic transport and access infrastructure, cellular broadband coverage, and digital transformation (DX) of enterprises, industries, and organizations. Moreover, although in the region early adopters were primarily large enterprises with large number of branches, software-based solutions are gaining in popularity with SMEs, says Bill Rojas, adjunct research director, IDC Asia/Pacific. "The level of participation and competition in the SD-WAN marketplace in the Asia/Pacific region continues to be intense as vendors seek to ride the DX wave and changing the work-from-home trend."
