Wind Turbine Installation in the US
The Wind Turbine Installation industry provides services related to the construction of wind power farms, including site planning, turbine transportation and component assembly. Industry operators also provide maintenance services for existing turbines, but generate the vast majority of their revenue from services related to the installation of new wind capacity. Wind energy generation has grown strongly over the five years to 2018, largely due to favorable government mandates and incentives for renewable energy. However, much as during the previous period, shifting federal incentives will complicate this story. For example, during the next five-year period, power providers are expected to frontload their wind turbine installations prior to the expiration of favorable tax incentives. Overall, over the five years to 2023, revenue is expected to fall.
Industry companies transport, construct and install wind power collection systems, such as turbines, substations and interconnections services. The work performed may include new work, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and ongoing maintenance and repairs.
