Facilities Management Services in Australia - Industry Market Research Report
Facilities Management Services in Australia
Facilities managers have benefited from the private and public sectors' increasing willingness to outsource non-core business activities. Strong demand from the mining and public sectors has amplified this trend. Yet negative trading conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have weighed on facilities managers' incomes. For example, WFH practices and temporary delays to elective surgeries have reduced the need for facilities managers, with some clients taking the opportunity to organise cheaper contracts. Revenue is on track to rise at an annualised 0.4% over the five years through 2022-23, to $11.0 billion. This includes growth of 2.5% in 2022-23 as business activity recovers and pandemic restrictions ease.
Facilities managers primarily provide non-core business services that allow buildings and precincts to operate effectively. These include monitoring, planning and management services such as cleaning, gardening, security and maintenance. Industry services are typically provided under contract. The industry does not include major maintenance services for infrastructure such as roads, tunnels, railway lines, bridges, dams or public utility networks.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market
