Electrical Appliance Manufacturing in the UK - Industry Market Research Report
Electrical Appliance Manufacturing in the UK
Uncertainty since the Brexit vote, compounded by further disruptions caused by the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, has caused consumers to reduce discretionary spending, weighing on demand for electrical appliances. Nonetheless, strong demand from residential construction activity has stemmed the overall fall in revenue. As such, industry revenue is expected to have fallen at a compound annual rate of 1.8% over the five years through 2022-23 to £1.4 billion, including a forecast decline of 2% in the current year.
This industry includes operators that manufacture electrical household appliances. Industry products include refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, cookers and vacuum cleaners. Players also manufacture electrothermal appliances such as electric water heaters and electric blankets. The manufacture of commercial electric appliances is excluded from the industry. Room air conditioners, attic fans, permanently mounted space heaters and sewing machines are also not included in the industry.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
